“Las Manos y su Campo” is a series of drawings and illustrations by Nathaly Lerma, inspired by the hard-work of immigrant workers in the agricultural sector.

In her words, "I wanted to portray the subjects in a simplistic manner, using lines that capture beauty of their work in the field, while acknowledging the physical strains that come with such demanding labor, as reflected in their stances. The use of black calligraphy lines, created with a Japanese brush pen and set against a vintage newspaper's light brown hue, evokes a newsprint aesthetic, symbolizing the enduring influence and significance of field workers, laborers, and farmers within our economic and sociocultural framework."
